On the last semester of my BA in Communication Design at ESAD I entered a competition along with my other classmates where we were asked to design three different options for Caixa Geral de Depósitos new student bank card. We had to come up with a graphic image that would established this new venture and appeal to a younger audience. Being that this card targeted university students, I would basically be designing something for my peers.
This was my first project after my time studying in Madrid at UCM as part of the Erasmus Programme. I was really inspired by Madrid’s cosmopolitism and especially by the street art spread across every street and barrio. Therefore, I made a collage of photographs of different graffiti’s and wall illustrations and mash them all together in to one picture. I wanted this card to be fresh, cool and rugged translating an urban sense that would be visually appealing to any person my age.
